Teachers from IES Siglo XXI visit IDALSA and strengthen their close collaboration

A group of teachers from IES Siglo XXI in Pedrola recently visited the facilities of IDALSA. The factory, located near the institute, is a leader in aluminium casting and the production of ingots for key sectors such as automotive and industry.

During the visit, the educators got a firsthand look at IDALSAs aluminium recycling and casting process. This highly specialized and sustainability-focused process involves collecting aluminium scrap, melting it at high temperatures, and creating green aluminium ingots. These ingots are then distributed to various industrial sectors for the manufacture of components.

The tour was led by IDALSA staff, who provided the teachers with a detailed overview of the different stages of the production process, from the selection of recycled materials to the quality control of the final product. Additionally, IDALSA representatives highlighted the importance of having skilled technicians for the operation and maintenance of the machinery and furnaces used in the process.

Committed to environmental sustainability and resource optimization, IDALSA serves as an exemplary model for future generations of technicians. Its business model, based on material revalorization, helps reduce environmental impact and promotes the development of a sustainable industry and circular economy—a model that the teachers from Pedrola can pass on to their students in the classroom.

With this visit, IDALSA reinforces its commitment to education and positions itself as a valuable option for IES Siglo XXI students to develop their professional careers.
